Finally...I found my blue diesel

I am flying out to Denver tomorrow morning from Phoenix to pick up my new '83 300SD. It's midnight blue with blue mb-tex interior and only has 134,000 miles on it. I'll definitely be frequenting this board considering this is my first diesel car ever and I guess I am kinda diesel-stupid at the moment. See you all soon -- Mike

Thanks Kerry for your support, but I don't know if i'll need anything considering I'll only be in Denver for like a couple of hours. Once I pick the car up, I think I am going to head out on the 12-13 hour drive back to AZ so I don't have to pay for a hotel. ) -- Mike

Thumbs up SD

mikey-az,
Good luck with the "new"SD
I just purchased a "new" 1982 SD a couple of weeks ago for the wife....
Black with grey LEATHER......170,000 miles, 2 owner, ALL MAINTINENCE records and virtually WITHOUT a scratch on the entire body...NO RUST EVER .....some minor stone chips on the A pillars.......HOWEVER, NO block heater was ever installed, even though this has always been a New England vechicle.....the NEXT project.........cost $4,500 and has been garaged and rarely driven for around 4 years. Oh! the car was covered in the garage and it was HEATED.
Also got the Genuine MB shop manuals in paper with the ride.
Even got the seller to DELIVER from 2.5hours north in Maine...sweet ...
Again, best wishes always, and post a photo.
I will post sometime when I get a da-n digital camera.
Keep those oilburners SMOKING.
spo out.
