Looks a lot like mine, your lower plate that pulls the spring is much better looking though.

Looks like a plate mount for pipe (Home Depot has them in the pipe area)...

I could be wrong.

Exactly. I used 2 sizes on the lower to lock onto the coil. I bought everything from our local hardware store for a total of $32.00. Trial and error of other methods and figuring out the one in the picture took 2 days. If I had the time I would have made a plate with a slot in place of the lower parts (plumbing items).

I thought of providing more detail, however it isn't simple to use and I was concerned that someone would get into trouble. If in the future I make a lower plate with a slot that is more user friendly, I will be happy too. If anyone wants to build one and discuss the issues in using it, I would be happy to exchange emails, telephone conversation of posts on this forum.

Hope that sounds reasonable.
