Just got the MB back from having another Inj. pmp. installed and went out on a test drive. Tried the A/C unit and the belt squalled like a stuck pig. Up to that point it was operating ok. Car was stored outside in 95 deg.+ weather for a month while in the shop. No obvious signs of a leak. Any and all ideas welcome.
PS any one wanna buy a 85 300SD? 90 south of Houston. Price reasonable. Got a 94 C280 and a pick-um up truck, have no room in the inn for another auto. Thanks again for the ideas/help. Leon H |

Assuming this is the 300SD, inspect the a/c belt to see if it is out of shape (V-shape) or loose. If you are not sure the condition of the belt, change it. Use OEM belt to insure correct size and V-angle. The correct belt tension is important. Adjusting the belt tension may be just all you need.
