240d manual for sale
 

a local member has alerted me to a manual transmission 240d for sale. he knows i have a 240 so he figured i might be interested.

this is what i know. the engine runs. it is white. the parts missing on it is the front grill and the front and rear windshield.
all else is still on the car. it is sitting in storage protected from the weather.

i assume there will be parts on this thing i can use. assuming it has been in no accidents and everything else is in fair condition considering the age, how much should i offer the guy? i have a feeling he will take any offer. i was thinking $100

For $100, and RUNNING, that would be a no-brainer. If you DON'T want it, I'll drive out with a flatbed and haul it back here and throw windshields in it and a grill. Would be nice to have a 240 to play with (but haven't been able to afford the ones around here).

Anyway, yes, without question, take it for the $100 and whatever else you have to trade for it as long as it's running and driveable. Forget using parts, turn it into a beater town car.

For $100 you could part it out and make a killing. There's some guy on eBay that buys and sells parts and you could sell them to him - his handle is "big" something...
