Ultra Fuel Filters

Is this something to consider?

A normal fuel filter costs $8.59 on fastlane. $130 would but you 15 normal paper filters. If you use 2 filters a year, thats enough to last 7.5 years.

Not worth it in my book. If it was in the $50-75 range, I'd say go for it.

I do not know that they make these type of filters in the 10-micron mesh. Aeromotive has been making the stainless steel elements for years but only in the 100-micron, and to be used in conjuction with a 10-micron paper element. In-line stainless filters are available in the 64-micron, and I have seen them in Harley motorcycles (gas application). I have not seen or heard of these filters in diesel automobiles or trucks, maybe because they are so expensive.

Yep, but only after much "dely " and it looks like they are made in "there back".

With that much incorrect spelling in the first line of the ad, I wouldn't trust the quality, not to mention the ridiculous price.

I can buy paper filters for over 15 years for that amount of dough (I only use 1 filter barely every 2 years)...plus, I definatley don't trust it.

I believe that these are knock-offs of the trufilter oil filters with a machined adaptor to fit the fuel filter housing. They used to be assembled from ultra oil filters which went off-line a few months ago and now seems reincarnated as http://www.chriscoproducts.com/

I talked to the trufilter guy months ago about canister oil filters (which he said were under development, by the way) and he had nothing nice to say about ultra oil filters.
