83 300D OM617 Vacuum troubleshooting questions

Well,

I have been using Diesel Giants website tutorial on vacuum issues, Mercedes Vacuum Troubleshooting

If you go down to the part where he checks vacuum on the transmission dashpot area, he pulls 10-15hg of vacuum. When I did his test on my car, it pulled a full 25hg.

Just curious if that is correct or not. The FAQ can be hard to follow at times, and want to make sure that I have a bad metering valve in the supply line before I replace the entire line. Does anyone have any experience with this? If I test both the nipples off the line, should they both have reduced vacuum because of the metering valve? Any help is appreciated greatly. Not sure if 25hg is right or if 13hg or so is right.

Perhaps my issue is not an issue at all. What does everyone think?
