http://wwwsg.daimlerchrysler.com/Projects/wi/cda/etpl?etpl_lang=01 It's the Mercedes-Benz web page for checking price & availability in Europe. Add an "A" prefix for most part numbers, a "W" prefix for 12-digit tool part numbers. It won't look up "B" accessory numbers.

I was trying to get a concrete answer if this is a catalyst or a trap ox.

According to the EPC, that part (126-490-34-14) is the new oxidation catalyst, not the original trap oxidizer. So the car already has the trap removed. The link I posted above is for Euro parts and won't show USA-only items, which are pretty rare, but of course that would be the one part you needed to look up! :p
