Where is fuel outlet line at fuel tank? (W124)

1992 300D 2.5 turbodiesel. 229982 miles.

How can I check leak at fuel outlet line at fuel tank?

I'm not very familiar with the W124s but the W123s have a "fitted fuel hose" which has one end that screws into the fuel tank and the other is open hose to go over the steel line which runs to the motor. Perhaps the rubber is cracked? I've never tried any of those products. I'd think it would be quite hard to fill any holes with a spray on application.

fuel leak

Are you wrench friendly? It would involve gently and Safely
backing onto a set of ramps to replace the hose/fitting/line
If that is what is actually leaking. (Chock the front wheels
fore and aft!) You'll have to empty the tank obviously, first.
This is not the kind of repair you want to "Band Aid".
Fix it correctly and be done with it!
