It looks like an impressive engine design. I wonder how well the all-aluminum head/block setup will hold up in the diesel environment. With lower compression (16:1), it may not require as much structural heft, as other high compression diesels. I certainly hope VW is paying attention to Honda's use of a chain for their cam drive--in my opinion, that's the only negative strike against the tdi's.
