Why would you want a solid front axle in a Liberty? Remember it's a soccer mom SUV, that is ment to roll over curbs and snow banks! (I'm not a newer Jeep fan)

Roll a Liberty down Lion's Back and you'll need a mop for the occupants and some of those tall yard waste sacks for everything else.

I'de do it cause they dont sell a Rubicon with a diesel engine. Besides... where I live now (FL) their is no rocks or much challange to need a good hardcore 4x4 like a TJ or a Rubicon, so the Soccer Lib.. would be just fine. Solid front axile would at least make me feel little more true 4x4 and provide little more strength when playing off road further up north when I find the time.

While I think the new chryslers have a cheap interior and cheap feeling to them but overall I like chryslers, after all I own two of them. One was called a daimler-benz when it was made and the other an Eagle (chrsyler) but now they are all one in the same. But no matter who makes it I'm not a big SUV fan, well basically I think they are in general parasites to the world but that is another topic itself.

Well, the Liberty IS the first post takeover release for the Chrysler side of the company. I've been suitably impressed with the quality ratings that the post takeover vehicles have received, both short and long term.
