Used Peanut Oil in OM602?

I am an avid home deep-fryer (wings, fries, o-rings, shrimp, turkey, etc) and generate about 25 gal of used peanut oil per year.

When I owned my 84 300SD, I did not hesitate to filter that stuff well and put it in my fuel tank. I never put more than about a gallon in per tank. Never experienced any problems, but made certain I only did this when I knew the temp would not dip beow about 50F. It was a nice way to get rid of the oil (putting it in the trash seemed wasteful), and easier than going out and dumping it in the woods for the critters to enjoy.

I now drive a 92 300D 2.5 Turbo. I'd like to continue the practice of discarding my old fry oil this way, but since the OM602 is a much more advanced design than the old OM617, I was wondering if I should re-start the practice. I'd filter the heck out of it and keep it at a ratio of 1 gal per tank. Anybody think this is a BAD IDEA?

I do plan to keep the car for a long time, as it is truly a wonderful car to drive (have owned & loved an 85 300D and an 84 300SD) and don't wish to do anything stupid with my fuel system/injectors.

I realize that by re-using the peanut oil as diesel fuel I am only saving about $41.25 (25 gals@ $1.65/gal), but that'll buy a couple nice bottles of Argentine Malbec.

Whaddya think, I'm tempted to go ahead, but if anyone has solid FACTS that make this a no-go, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

I wish I could discard my old Delvac 1 in the same way, but all that soot couldn't be too good (7500 miles worth per change)
for the IP and injectors. If it were an old 240D with 300K on it, I'd probably dump anything I could get my hands on in the fuel tank just for grins.
