Wiring diagram for driver's power seat 83SD
So my driver's seat bite the dust. My butt hurts.
Got a seat bottom from the bone yard. The seat frame has the re-enforced spring cross members. Apparently, it is a relatively new seat frame. So I need to know which pins to apply power so that I can move the seat bottom forward and back to remove the six Philips screws. TIA.

You can actually turn the motor shaft or...
Youc an loosen the screws holding the motors in place and turn them by hand with a very small screwdriver or use power.
For wiring the motors the pins directly across from each other power the various motors. Positive on one and negative on the other makes them move. to reverse direction switch the wirews around and it goes the other way. I don't remember the colors for the front back but it is not the grey orange combo this is backrest. The black white combo I think is one o fthe lift motors and the yellow green combo is the other lift motor. I believe they are pin #3 and #4 for the front backward movement. Don't take that center screw out of the geared tracks or the seat willhave to be realigned. That center seat screw is a bear but wiht a magnetic screwdriver you can loosen it and get it out the hole once you have it lined up. Don't leave it in the seat track as it can get wedged in there, ask me how I know...

Thanks Fisherman. Are you in Bend? I like central Oregon a lot.
I did some study on the seat bottom. Here is what I found: Pin1 (Orange wire), Pin2 (Gray wire) for seat back Pin3 (Purple wire), Pin4 (Blue wire) for motor#1, fwd-backward Pin5 (Yellow wire), Pin6 (Green wire) for motor#2, back lift Pin7 (Black wire), Pin8 (White wire) for motor#3, front lift I pull the cable ends from motor#1, and chuck the ends to a cordless drill. The seat rail can be moved forward and reverse by the drill. Very smooth action, and does not take much power. I maybe able to use the seat bottom, just replace the leather cover.

Bottoms are pretty easy
But if you try to do the seat back beware that the leather may have shrunk a little. Mine was a real PITA>
Yep, I'm in Bend and I used to live in Sausalito (14 years) after college at the U of O. I'm still down that way a lot. Coming down this Sunday with the new ride so hope all is put together propely...
