SDL rice?

I'm tempted to graft the fender gills off a late 124 or 201 Diesel onto the SDL. It's just for looks so it's a good thing they're in short supply. Has anyone done this?

Why not...

...put a NOS sticker in the back window? It would be cheaper and easier.

IMHO, I don't think it would be befitting on a W126. I don't think it works with the classic lines of the car.

If it was an '87 300D, however....

I was thinking about a 3ft tall spoiler. Do you think that would look good on a blue one with tints and subs?

I don't think I'll do that, I think the diesel ticks the neigbors off enough. The 7am Sat starts can't make them happy. I think the lawyer next door wants to fire an RPG at the thing.

Someone in my neighborhood put an exhaust kit on their 300SD. I have not heard it, but I imagine it's pretty loud. But I think the SDL should be kept in it's original condition. Now you can do like some of the guys on mbnz.org and do all sorts of mods to your car, but I like the W126s to look original. Maybe you could add a little rake to it?

I saw this pic in the car for sale forum. Rub your eyes really hard or stand 10 paces back and the 201 will look like a 126. Since this is completely about preference, my SDL will have gills, long before it'll have clear corners or 8-hole wheels

But Ted gives me an idea. Off to the craft store for a sheet of black vinyl decal... just kidding.

Yeah I love the slits on the right fender too. I want to find a fender from a 190D 2.5T and put it on my car to fool people!

I was thinking of painting my wheels white and putting on a 2.3-16V body kit on my car. I also want one of those big stickers that goes on the top of the windshield that says MERCEDES-BENZ. hahaha god I hate ricers! But the turbo inlet slits are cool for the 126!

I saw one of those stickers yesterday!!! But aside from that, about fooling people, why not get the 190E AMG Evolution II body kit? You'll have the fastest, most agressive looking slow car
