resetting the srs (air bag light)

I had to remove the airbag and steering wheel to replace the multi function switch. that went very well and restored my wiper functions. I do have a problem however, I now have the srs light on. I need to know if I can reset this myself or if it is going to take a trip to the dealer $$$.

I had to take it to the dealer here. It cost 50 pounds to reset it...

What year car??? If 96 or newer it needs to be reset using SDS or another compatible scanner. OBDii scanners or disconnecting the batt wont erase codes from that module.
