blower motor tune-up
I searched many threads but didn't see my problem addressed. My blower in the 240 is popping the 16 amp fuse after running on high for about 5-10 minutes (ac on, 92 degrees out). It will run on medium all day. It's obviously dragging to create the resistance overload. Can I just drop is out, clean it up and lubricate it somehow? Do I need to be looking for a new blower?

I would like an answer to this question as well. Mine doesn't blow the fuse while running on high, but it does blow periodically. Mine is also starting to run a little slower than normal also...doesn't have near the output it used to have. Actually, it occasionally blows really hard and other times there is sufficient flow, but not the gale force winds I am used to.
Is there any maintenance that can be performed?

You could search on blower AND motor AND brushes, like I did.

My 24od keeps blowing fuses on high setting. It is an 8 amp fuse. The blower out of the car draws 8 amps after it warms up and slightly more when starting out. I replaced the blower with a used one and it started to blow fuses after about 1 month.

Sure you can change it out. Drop that panel under neath the glove box and it is right there on your left. About three screws and the wiring connector and it is out of there. I thought mine was really bad. Bought a good one from the P&P, then pulled mine and found that some old big and got in there and made cocoons. Cocoons do not work well in blowers. Cleaned it up and it works like new. But someone reported that new blower units are getting hard to get from the stealer, so it is a good idea to have a good one in reserve. I don't have A/C, but I sure need the heat/defrost.

My blower Motor stopped for a differen Issue but if you flollow one of the changing the Brushes Threads you can see how to go in and lube the bearings.
Mine has a Seimens instead of a Bosch Motor and the Brushes are up front. When I lubed the Bearings I dripped on Sweing Maching Oil and let it soak in (oil impregnated Bronze Bearings) and did that over the coruse of several days. Also there was some dirt inbetween the Bearing and the Shaft.

Isn't that supposed to have a 16 amp fuse?
