And most of the time they brake when you remove them, at least with me.

I bought some new pads at PerformanceProducts and forgot the sensors this week, so I went by a local shop; with out blinking he charged me $16.95 for four, when I told them that I normally get them for $1.25 a piece the price went down to $6.95. It's like having a boat, when they hear the word Mercedes they think you own the word!

I was able to reuse almost all of mine. I forgot to order them when I bought my pads when I did my brake job last Feb. I got all but two of them off. I still haven't replaced the two that are missing.

do you have to remove the pads when you replace them? the p/o had the brakes done and the sensor was never hooked back up on that side

I salvage them by carefully removing them. More dollars in my pocket. Less waste in the landfill. They aren't a wear item if you do the brakes on time.

It's easier to do it with the pads off the car. If you can do it on the car, then go for it.
