Drivers seat help

OMG – Just took out the driver’s seat to take into the shop. The covers fine, but typical soft and a broken spring or two. Well now that’s done I’m wondering if I’ll ever get it back in. The rear bolts were not visible with the seat all the way forwards unless there’s a trick I missed. Seating them when in goes back in looks impossible. If there’s a trick please tell me – how were they installed at the factory? 79-240D

Do a user name search for sean 300D. He provided great instructions on seat removal and installation for the 123.

Thanks. I didn’t have the seat fully raised – Sometimes I wonder how I’ve made it this far. All the time I was struggling to get the rears out it was obvious that it could have never been manufactured this way.

I replaced the front seats in my wagon with the newer style seats (not to be confused with W126 chassis seats BTW) and they are so nice
Will the seats from a W126 fit a 123? My local parts guy has many more S cars than 123's. I probably won't give up my seats, but it would be nice to know.
