Are the front grilles the same on a 116 and an 81 126? What about window regulators? I'm looking to swap parts from the 116 to the 126.

no they're not the same.... as far as I know, some suspension parts such as ball joints are the same, but other than that.... I don't think there were many interchangables between those 2 models.
