What kind of tools do u have? most useful; most unique; most Stupid?

I have a huge air compressor, a Robinair vacuum pump, an engine stand, two jacks, 6 jackstands, 2 ramps, a diesel compression guage but no OBDC II or I scanner.
I consider a very useful tool to be the very high quality adjustable ball joint puller I bought.
I consider my most unique tool to be my Better Halfs hands, which are very small and and have mechanical talent as well and have helped me enormously.
My dumbest tool was the Huge Compressor. I dont use air tools that much because I dont my neighbors to think I am running a "Shop" and the noise is a concern. I could have done with my small one, all I need is the Cleaning Air, even if I am rebuilding an engine. Finally you can never get to a lot of places with huge clunky air tools anyway...

A hand impact hammer is one of the handiest...and maybe $8 .... this is a great tool because it will free phillips head bolts... due to the fact that hitting it provides both forward pressure and turning pressure at the same instant...
People with Motorcycles understand how important this is...

Most of the noise associated with an air compressor has to do with less than good intake muffler design ( or existance).. you ought to look at making or buying a good intake muffler for the air compressor... even if it is just to help your hearing....
Mine was so loud I would jump every time it started.... not fun....

I have large sets of basic Crapsman tools and 1" drive NAPA sockets. I also have a OM617 timing drip tube, home made prechamber puller, and many misc parts that I cant bear to trash or sell.

The most useful would have to be my 4' long magnet for all the parts that fall in the smallest (As always) caverns.

Carrameow,

Most usefull: Vise Grip Locking Plier (wish they made a 24 inch one).

Most Unique: Tool to remove MB rear wheel bearings.

Most useless: A wrench that is supposed to fit multiple size nuts.

Most useful: Craftsman box-end metric ratchets (too bad they're so pricy).

2nd most useful: Sawzall reciprocating saw. You wouldn't believe how many times I've needed to use this thing on one of my Benzos when nothing else would work...HONEST!

Most unique: Sir-Tools Spring compressor with MBZ spring disks.

Most useless: The stupid right-angle phillips screwdrivers that you get every time you buy a Craftsman screwdriver set.

Most usefull: 10in forceps.
Most unique: My powerstand, converted from a old portable coat rack. Four heavy legs with castors, four outlet box at chest level, halogen light at the top (just above my head), 20 ft 10ga heavy cord plugs into the wall.
Most stupid: 110V wire feed welder with no gas. I should convert this to a boat anchor.
