A source for a transmission - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I need a transmission for my 1983 300 SD. I am not having much luck finding one with a guarantee for a reasonable price. What is everyone else's experience on this? or am I the only one (don't think so) on this?

There are dozens of these places on the net. I just put a new trans in my 115 300D for $1,150 incl. shipping. Did not incl. a converter. No sooner had I done this than I found one the same price incl. converter.

OK. and thanks for the replies. I will try them on Monday morning and hopefully one of then will have a tranny available for me. After that, the fun part (installation) begins! Boyd
