Breakers in a Land Down Under
Anyone on here hail from Sydney (AU)? Are there any auto breaker's yards in the Sydney area that specialise in Benzos? Particularly 123s?
I'll be stuck in Syd for 6 days after 19/6/04 and after a couple of days of the usual tourist stuff it might be fun to hit a couple of places that aren't exactly on the tour group route. And, if anyone there wants to GTG, the first round of stubbies are on me. g'day

However, I'm thinking that I might find the following stuff: — rectangular Euro light assys (at 0.705 cents on the $$) — decent wood trim

Of the MB 300D (W123) cars I have seen, only about 1 in 3 has wood trim. My wife's Josephine has some wood, some black trim - perhaps PO was either replacing damaged wood, or upgrading to wood.
I have one of the few W123's I have seen with Euro headlights (and one of those has damaged plastic moulding) So don't hold your breath on getting those "rare" parts in Oz. BTW, Becuz these are MB, the parts recyclers want 1/2 new prices too

I live in Brisbane...........~500 miles from Sydney, but as nobody else replied I looked up the Yellow Pages and found an 'Auto Recycler' in Parramatta (a fair way out of Sydney, but should be ok to get there by train if you have the time and they have the right part.........taxi would be very expensive.......a contact with a car and knowledge of Sydney the best option)

I'd do the bridge but, I'm blowing almost all of my 'dolly money' on a three hour private "flightseeing" tour out of Greymouth to see Mt Cook, the fiords and Milford Sound when I get to New Zealand. I did one of these when I was in Kodiak a couple of years ago to see more of the island and IMHO, it was some the best tourist money I've ever spent. NZ should be awesome! Cheers! R
