Glow plug conversion

I own a 78 300D and I'm getting ready to replace the glowplugs and a friend of a friend mentioned that if I did a conversion to the newer style of wiring that my car would start a little easier. He mentioned it had to do with the fact that the newer style of plugs were wired in parallel instead of series like my car. Anyone know anything about or have tried anything like this??? If so any help would be great

You don't have to replace the relay, there is a kit at **************.com.
