603 turbo no power

hi guys need some help. recently my vehicle lost a lot of power
i would say about 50 % so this is what i did .i bypassed the switch over valve for boost enrichment ,so the vacuum line goes from intake manifold to at ALDA (boost enrichment diaphragm) still no power . checked boost pressure 12 psi
my question is , is it the diaphragm ,or internal fault in the injection pump ,need some help thanks .

If the turbo actually making 12 PSI, and the ALDA is getting 12 PSI, and you're still getting low power, then the ALDA could be suspect.

Do a search on the subject too. There was a thread in which somebody reported similar symptoms. A clogged cat was the problem. I'm not sure if the Canadian spec cars had cats installed.

Check the TECH section, research under ALDA, there are many threads of similar and you should get your answer. I am encountering the very same issue with my 603 too!

FYI. I had the cat replaced on my car this weekend and its back to normal. I saw the innards of the old cat and although it didn't look too bad it did look like it was about 30% clogged with soot. I tried to convince the shop owner to put a straight pipe inplace of the cat but his answer was NO! The replacement cat is a generic $110 free flow cat. He said it's good for approx. 70,000 miles.

got my power back

:) thanks to all the help and reply,my problem was the obvious ALDA ,bought a new one for $450 ,also the linkage directly under the alda was siezed ,sprayed some lubricant and free up the linkage ,to all the people who have the simular problem and who suspect the alda , remove the alda and push down on the linkage with some force before replacing the alda .

once again thanks .strictlymb
