300D W123 brake conversion

is there such a thing for this....converting the old brakes to a new style sytem with bigger brake pads and bigger rotors?....i just came down a 3 mile mountain run with excessive braking and turning...for the first time i smelt burning brakes..

...and boy there were on fire! Lots and lots of smoke!...kinda looks like a steamy radiator after its busted during a hot drive

Or.......

Or - Next time, try moving the shift selector lever (as they call it) into the “S” position. After all, it does stand for “Slope“. And - Perhaps not being in such a hurry may help with the “excessive” braking issue.
If these are not possible - Perhaps a Porsche might in order.

I believe you can upgrade the front brakes to 560SEL brakes. This would be more practical and MUCH cheaper than those Movit kits...

I too have read about the upgrades...there are a few postings...look under mbdoc and omegabenz...or me...

i would be going with the simple mb to mb upgrade but i just wrapped slotted, diamond cut rotors and a complete new brake system from screws to hard lines... with goodridge stainless steel flex lines...

i want to see a picture of this upgrade though...no one that i know of has posted pictures...

so if you have some - post them please
