I just want to thank all the diesel fanatics who are on this board. After a long search I have purchased a gasser. Yes it is a Mercedes. My 1979 300SD was my daily driver for 2.5 years but with the purchase of a more updated benz I am going to sell her. If anyone is interested please see my post in the cars for sale section (car is located on Long Island, NY). I want to give special thanks to P E H and WANT71SEL who both have similiar w116's and tried to help me with a few issues I had with the car. This forum is absolutely the best. I am on this board constantly reading the diesel post and gaining more and more knowledge. Don't worry you guys will not completely lose me. I still have a 1984 300CD black on tan with a real 110,000 miles in mint condition. However she is a garage queen. Once again thanks to all who have reached out to help me.
