Buy a 1974?

I found a 1974 mercedes today with a number of good parts and the owner believes it is a diesel that ran when it was parked( I didn't see any plugs ). The VIN that I found was 114 060 12108357 this number does not work with any decoders that I found, and I was trying to find out what it is and if it is worth buying for parts. I'm sure the diesle and interior would be of interest to people looking for parts.
