Key feels warm

When I took the key out of the ignition, it felt kind of warm, almost hot to the touch, not the rubber base, but the metal part. Does anyone elses key feel like this when you turn your car off?

It's the little known Mercedes key heater. It came out right before those stupid headlight wipers.

They provided this option to some cars sold in the arctic to prevent the ignition key being frozen into the lock.

Yes, I too have the key heater.
I also have the crouton maker, the exhaust manifold frying pan, the vegetable oil pressure cooker (that then pumps WVO into the aux fuel tank), massaging captain's chair, and the ULTRA rare expresso maker with cupholders built in the console.

I'm jealous,
In West Oz, I can't even get a key warmer. I have retrofitted the veg-oil pressure cooker and the "air in fuel" indicator which shuts the motor off if air gets into the fuel system. (aka Looped Return)
