Thumbs up Push Button Unit, Engatwork you're right again!

1984 300D. Jim, remember I had that airflow problem? The cold air was blowing strong from the defrost vent but weak and intermittent from the center vent. I tried my spare PBU and had the same results. I did a search on this forum and came up with some troubleshooting steps posted by MVK (thanks MVK) and found that the aux water pump was inop. I replaced it with a used pump and heat is back. Friday, I bought another PBU on Ebay. Saturday, I bought a PBU at Pull-A-Part (couldn't resist), tried it out and it works, strong blow from center vents. I am planning to put an inline fuse on the aux water pump to protect the PBU, as suggested by MVK on this forum. I guess I'll keep the PBU from Ebay for a spare unless someone on the shopforum needs an ACC PBU.

Do not get rid of the ones that came out. Do a search on here about resoldering them and attempt to fix them if you have the eye for it.

Glad you got it working correctly - makes all the difference in the world. I have had to replace the pbu on a couple 123's to resolve the same problem. Concerning the aux water pump - I don't even have it hooked up on my black 300D.

Someone on the forum recommended unplugging the aux water pump if it doesn't work because it will ruin the PBU. Jump yours to the battery and see if it spins. If it doesn't, I'll get you a tested one at Sports and Imports. I've paid their minimum $35 ea. for two separate items recently (the a/c hose and the aux pump) and both times the guy asked me if there was anything else I needed to bring it up to a fair exchange, but both times I wasn't ready with a list and was in a hurry so I paid the $35 and left. Jim, anything you need, let me know. They have 126s and 123s.
