Looking for a Diesel

Well, I was in a little accident this past Friday and the insurance company is going to total my '85 300D. The damage didn't look too bad, but it doesn't take much to exceed the value of one of these cars. I plan on fighting to get the car since there a lot of new parts on her (ball joints, axle, starter, alternator, etc) I want to strip the good parts off, store them away as spares for my other 300D, then sell off the engine and tranny if I can.

In the meantime, I am looking for another diesel. Would prefer an '84 or '85 123. I could handle a 126 also. If anyone out there knows of one of these cars for sale, let me know. I am in the Houston area, so if one of you Houston boys are looking to get rid of one of your cars, I might be interested.

Mike

Yes, I received your email, and thank you. I called the folks at that dealership and they told me they have two on their lot. I was not able to talk with the boss to see what kind of condition they were in, and the price. I am supposed to give them a call today and get the specifics.

To the best of my knowledge, I have not been on TV lately. Why do you ask?

I have also spoken with State Farm and I think I am going to buy my wrecked car from them. I want it for the interior as well as some of the new parts I just put on it. When it is all said and done, I will have a 240D engine with a four speed manual tranny that I will have no use for. If any of you guys might need one, let me know and we can probably strike a deal. I will also have various body panels which will be in excellent shape...this car had no rust what so ever, and not a single dent or ding before the lady pulled out in front of me.
