intercooler,,,need crossovertube - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I am trying to make a bolt on intercooler that will mount in place of the crossover tube on 60x motors.
Anyone have a crossover tube for sale?

There is room to fit an intercooler.
Those concerned of airflow to IC...I have secret plans

for providing cooling.

If mine actually works in dropping intake temps I am thinking of running a small batch so help me guage interest....
Cost yet to be determined but will be in the 150 to 250 range and will require a core exchange.

I was thinking of a Subaru or Toyota liquid-to-air IC. Unfortunately the units I see commonly available have offset inlets and outlets.

Most of the 60... intercoolers that I've seen will entail modifying the intake to eliminate that crossover tube. It's a poor design from the beginning.........why not just modify the intake to feed it from underneath or from the driver's side?

I have played around a lot w/ my subie intercooler....bigger is not alwys better.

I like the crossover idea beacuse anyone can undo and replace w/ intercooler.
As for how to cool it....secret and it's not a hood scoop!

Some one got an extra crossover?
