I wouldn't bother with any used intercoolers when you can buy a new one so cheap. This site http://stores.ebay.com/Just-Intercoolers
has great prices. I'm getting one and a tubing kit for around $200.

I agree. With brand new bar and plate intercoolers so cheap and in many differnt sizes/shapes, there really is no reason to buy a used, dirty and inefficient OEM intercooler.

What do you guys think of this type fitted right under the bumper with perhaps a little fiberglass fairing built around it. This one measures 28X5.5X2.5.

This one fits behind the relatively large 126 front bumper. It's big but also what I had sitting around. I was surprised that it fit. I would think that you could get an adequately sized intercooler behind a 123 bumper.

If you put it behind the bumper it won't get any airflow.
