The only thing that's definite as far as beer so far is a couple cases of Vanilla Irish Stout. I'm actually sanitizing the equipment right now to begin boiling the wort and start the ferment today.

I was going to get an additional case of Yeungling Lager as well.

Feel free to bring your favorite brew ... and a lawn chair as I'm a bit deficient in that area. I have 6 plastic patio chairs, 3 camp loungers, and a couple folding chairs.

Vanilla Irish Stout? That's a new one on me. I've pretty much given up beer drinking, but I'd like to try some of that. Sounds tasty.

My brother and I got into putting a shot of Vanilla Vodka in our stout and love it. It takes the bitter edge off the stout and leaves a vanilla finish. I made a batch of stout myself and put the vanilla in during the ferment and it came out great. This time a got a real Madagascar Vanilla Bean in addition to my organic vanilla extract. I have high hopes for this batch.

Cool. We're up to 8 confirmed plus 2 still checking.

I need to make sure I'm getting an accurate head count. The only one who mentioned bringing a spouse or guest is Powerpig. Anyone else? I want to make sure there's enough food to satisfy all.

This group can tend to be somewhat like a swarm of locusts, Chad. . . . I've learned not to dilly dally when the dinner bell rings.

My wife would rather stick needles in her eyes they spend all day driving to watch a bunch of geeks poking their heads under the hoods of sooty diesel engines. My kids likewise haven't gotten the bug yet, so it will be just me.

Hey, that's great. Paul. Will you be driving the SDL or the project car?

You'll fit in just fine if that's the case, Justin.

I don't think the "project" will be that far along by then. Given the way I've had to bust my butt at work lately I'm not sure I'll get to the project for a very long time.

I will almost certainly be in the 300SD. Just the same, I will probably bring along a piece of rusty fender or something else from the project. Maybe the VIN plate - how about that?
