Thumbs up 2nd Annual Southeast PA GTG............September 5, 2009

2nd Annual Southeast PA Benzfest
Saturday, September 5 - 11am until ?

We can start at 11am and go until whenever. I'll provide food and beverages again but anyone is welcome to bring something.

Let's get a head count so I can plan for the food and drink.

I live about 1 mile from the Montgomery Mall to give you an idea of where I am. I'll give my address via PM to everyone that will be coming.

Pics from last year's GTG are in this thread starting at post #392:

I'm there! I'm indifferent to the date as of right now, but my classes haven't started yet

I'm booked the middle two weekends...but otherwise I'd like to finally meet you guys. You've certainly helped me over the last year of ownership!

....oh course I'll be doing lots of explaining about the destroyed paint on my $800 240D!

Or I'll borrow my buddies' SDL

I added a poll to choose a Saturday in September for the GTG.

Vote for your choice. It's a public poll so I can see who prefers which date.

not voting.....

I'm not going to vote because unless I get started Coda isn't going to do anything but sit in the garage.

Are the Fall colors occurring by the last weekend in September?

Hey daw,

Everything is usually still green all through September and into the beginning of October. The second or third week of October is when things start turning colors around here. If you were going to cruise up to Vermont, their leaves are probably turning a few weeks sooner than in PA.

I hope you'll be able make it.

I voted the 5th. Wonder if I brought some steaks or something if I could get somebody to "help" advance the timing on my IP?

You're only 7.5 hours away.

I just went to a GTG in Buffalo, NY (7.5 hours away), one in Chambersburg, PA (3 hours), and I'm going to one in Ohio in August (9 hours).

The drive is part of the fun of a GTG.

daw, getting to meet you at this gtg would be amazing as well. meeting chad, dee8go, mistress, johnhef, and the others (if they come to this one too) is already something i'm looking forward to.

as to the weekend, i feel like i should leave the voting up to those who actually live in PA and go to these already. the core group if you will. i'll probably be able to make any saturday you guys choose.

If you guys pick a date I'll try to get that day off and come. A little over an hour for me so I should be able to do it.

I'll bring the 87 300D ... my poor 240, I don't want you guys to see what a rusty car I bought. Hopefully I'll have the 300D's wood refinished by then!
