Arrow Fifteenth Annual Texas MB Owners GTG - April 17, 2021

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event has been rescheduled from its original date of April 2020 to April 17, 2021. Hopefully we will be past this by then.

RSVP at the following Evite link: http://evite.me/9VKpUSQHm9

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 17, 2021 for the FIFTEENTH Annual Texas MB Owners GTG!

We'll caravan in from our various cities for lunch at Woody's Smokehouse on the Northbound side of I-45 in the reserved dining room. Woody's will reserve parking for us in their large lot on top of the hill and just to the side of Woody's. After lunch, we'll head to Fort Boggy State Park for the Show and Shine. Admission to the park is $3 for adults, free for children 12 years and younger.

We'll hand out awards at the Show and Shine based on People's Choice voting. The categories are Best Vintage Model (pre-1990 vehicles), Best Young Classic (1990-99), Best 2000-2009 Model, and, Best 2010-present Model.

If you want to bring parts to sell or trade, please feel free to do so.

Let me know if you're coming so I can let Fort Boggy know how many to expect. Reply to this thread and on this evite link: Invitations, Free eCards and Party Planning Ideas from Evite

Update: You can purchase your day pass for entry into Fort Boggy State Park ahead of time. Go to https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/, enter Fort Boggy State Park, select day passes, arrival date (April 17, 2021), select not flexible, and 1 day for length of stay. For more detailed instructions, please see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZfP0USJq0Q

You can still pay the day of the event at the park. Cash is strongly encouraged. Last time, I believe the credit card machines were down. Admission is $3 for adults, and free for children aged 12 and younger.

The weather is looking cool for a change. After years having these meets in sweltering heat and playing around with the calendar to find cooler temps, I might've found a sweet spot. The forecasted high this Saturday is 65 degrees and overcast. It's not 72 and clear, but it beats 95 and sunny!

I had to delay this event for a year, but good things come to those who wait. We had the best weather ever since this GTG started in 2006! The sun finally poked through when we got to Centerville and the temps were in the 50s and 60s. We had 22 cars representing 40 years of MB models (1979-2019). Thanks everyone for coming!
