SoCal Huntington Beach Concours.........
Just wanted to let everyone know that Huntington Beach will be hosting a Concours d'Elegance on Sunday June 1st. The show will open to the public at 10AM and ends at 4PM.
I will be showing my car there in the Group 13 "German Cars", I will compete with BMW's and Porsches. This year the shows focus is on the Corvette and a few of the Corvette tuners will be on hand to discuss the cars. There will also be Ferrari's and several other types of cars. car show
some friends and i are taking a few cars if everything goes
wright.my friend tom has a black 1951 mercedes cab a convertible henry has a black 1990 sec.john has a grey 1974 450sl check that car out.i hope to bring the gullwing its red with knockoffs. i will be judging in the morning.hope to see you there. steve.

What a great time the show was, I was shocked just how many car enthusiasts were familiar with the 500E and all it's little subtleties.
 sscoupes was there with a few of his friends and Brandini made it later in the day. Norm and Mark were there early and both helped me with prep and support which I really appreciate......thanks guys.  The show went well and I ended placing in second for Post War German Street Class, a Mint BMW 2002 placed in first. I will post pictures with my car and the trophy as well as other very very rare and beautiful cars on Wednesday, I'm on a business trip right now. Can't wait for the next one!

Afshin,
You placed good. Now what about those rims????? Never heard you mention getting rims this soon. They look familiar !!!!!!! I like that the cars are sitting on grass. Where is the next one ? and When ?

Hi Rich,
Ahh the wheels.....lets just say that I was forced to make a decision when a screw punctured one of my rear tires. Rather than buying four new tires I decided to take the plunge and buy the wheels and tires.......at least that was the excuse I gave my wife.    The car looks so much better IMO with this wheel/tire combo. The wheels/tires fill the fender flares nicely and the lower profile has sharpened the handling characteristics and transitions. Not sure when the next show is. Steve if your still part of this thread can you let us know when and where the next show is? I'd really like to show at a MBCA event.
