From the look, pre WWII, and not manufactured by Daimler Benz.

Other than that, nice machine, where did you find it?

WAS D-B product...

There was an article on Mercedes typewriters in The Star within the last year or two...an effort to keep the factory and workers occupied during the 1920's auto sales slump. Made bikes also, I believe.

While not MADE by DB, branded by them. It was the factory's first licensing agreement....

MERCEDES Typewriter--WWII

I saw this Mercedes Typewriter, on a German Military Artifacts Site.
I went to the site from a post on this site.
Fascinating if you are history buff.
Thought it would be interesting;

Wow thats pretty rare! I remember reading MB built those around the turn of the century before they became DB.

Who cares? I'm sure at that vintage, the vacuum system is shot! I bet the shift key is either too firm, or too mushy.

The wartime German Olympias had an "SS" key (Over the 3)

Yes the runes, not Super Sport
