A friend of mine who just returned from his second tour in Afghanistan is looking for a car. I have convinced him that a W123 or a W201 is a good choice, he needs a small to medium sized car, so any 240-300 would work.
He's not interested in a wagon. He wants a used diesel and undertsands maintenance. He doesn't want a rust bucket or a parts car.

Probable max is 2500-3000

He's also an electrician by trade, in addition to having an MBA and being an Army company commander.
