Time to part with 'Miss Daisy'

Looking for new home for my '60 W111 220S.
Originally purchased in Italy, and owned by USN Captain Lucien Powell, and then his widow Eloise, who left the car to me in 2001. Eloise's daughters used to refer to their mother as 'Miss Daisy', so in her memory, that's what I named the car. After some fix-up - brakes, motor mounts, etc... I drove the car for a few years until age and rust caught up with her. During that time, I also added front lap & shoulder-belts and new tires. Featured in several posts here, including photos, between 2001 and 2005
Car hasn't been driven for over 10 years.
FWIW, engine is not seized - still turns by hand.
Parts or restore.

FREE

Happy Motoring, Mark

Yes.
I got her for free and enjoyed her for few years. Hate to just send her to the crusher!
I do have spare parts for her. Some would be included with the car. Others would be for an extra charge.

If I hadn't just acquired a needy S123 I would seriously consider taking this for restoration. I simply don't have the space or time for more than one serious project car.

Should be able to find better fintails there.
As for mine, I did mention "rust".

Sorry. Been busy & out of town & not checking back here.
No current pictures.
She's rusty & pretty far gone, though I've seen worse brought back to life in some classic car mags.
Many parts exclusive to first year Fintail.
Believe engine is salvageable - still turns over.
County has given me till the end of October to get her out of my backyard.
If I have to junk her, I may pull a few parts.

Miss Daisy left the neighborhood today for her new home in rural Virginia.
Along with her, the new owner took a pickup-bed load of spare parts to help inspire him with his plans to refurb/restore her. It would be truly awesome to see Miss Daisy back on the road someday!

Happy Motoring, Mark
