FOR SALE: 1995 - E320 WAGON w124 - Richmond VA- $3990

197K miles
I've had this wagon for a little over two years and still drive it almost daily. I ended up buying a very nice w211 e500 wagon to replace the w124 as we recently had a child and I figured something newer and more comfortable made more sense. So the 124 has to go.
the car is almost 25 years old and has been used during those years so it's got some dents and scratches and needs a few things here and there. I'll try to be as upfront as I can be about the car as I have gotten pretty familiar with it.
New-
Front brakes, front shocks, shock mounts, left outer tie rod, h&r springs, motor mounts, front wheel bearings, neutral safety switch, kick down switch. I replaced the clutch fan when I first got the car.
Last week I had an alignment and state inspection performed - It passed.

The car does still need some work. If I was keeping it I'd do the following repairs but they aren't required for it to drive or even take on fairly long trips. We took it on a 600 mile beach trip this summer just to give you an idea of it's durability.
Needs-
Front guibo disc, throttle body (faulty wiring insulation issue), seat covers, new antenna.
I'd then spend a few hundred bucks for the paintless dent remover guy to work on what he could. It had to park outside under an oak tree the last year and took some acorns to the sheet metal.
Oh, and I have a new drivers door brake but haven't yet installed it. I might get to that before a buyer takes possession so...

Car comes with oringal 8 hole wheels but not great condition . The monoblocks are a 8 out of 10 and we're refinished almost two years ago. They only rub on the front right when I have passengers and must enter a driveway. Easy for me to live with.
Interior needs some repairs. Right front seat button has a rip and the c pillars need to have the leather re-glued. Probably a diy repair. Also, the third row seat leather has a tear too. I have only used them once though but leather is hard and could use conditioning.
Besides the cruise control and rear washer, everything works.

Car is located in Richmond Va and can be seen most anytime.

That’s a great looking wagon. Nicely priced as well. If you aren’t already on there I would join the Radwood Facebook group. They have a for sale subsection and I would think that wagon would get some interest there.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't had a fb account in about 6 years but maybe I can get a friend to list it for me. I love Radwood!

You didn't miss it, i neglected to include it. 197k miles on it.

Haven't noticed any issues with reverse ever. When its cold, the 2-3 shift seems to take a little longer than it should and the rpms raise up slightly. I just call it a "slow" shift.
It shifts into all 4 gears though.

I have a '95 wagon too, but the "material" covering my seats is different. Are those stock seats?

I've only had the car for a couple of years so i don't have all history on it but considering that all three rows of seats have the same material, i'd say yes they are factory.

Do you have the MB TEX seats? I've noticed that lots of w124's have them instead of real leather.

This is an interesting blog post about the Tex material for those that aren't familiar with it: What is MB-Tex Seat Upholstery? | MB-Tex vs. Leather

Your car is MBtex Dave. The pattern of the seats was entirely different; leather and MBtex. This even true of the earlier cars but early leather pattern is not the same as late. This car has the correct pleats for a full leather interior 95.

Makes it really easy to spot when CL posters say a 124 has "perfect leather interior"... and its perfect because its plastic.

While I've had lots of messages and interest, nobody has shown me any money yet so perhaps i need to make it more enticing with a lower price.
$3990?
