Go for it. I've got an om602 + 722.6 (via WhippleM104's TCU) that I just got up and running in a 1991 r129 (I really need to update my own project thread). But I would suggest starting a new thread. There is a "projects" category, or perhaps diesel-discussion, which is more likely to get the interested types to notice and/or help than posting in an old, only semi-related, thread. Super Turbo Diesel also has good folks for if you need any help along the way.

Nice! I’m gathering parts to do a 722.6 in my 87, would love to hear feedback on whipples setup. Anything in your build thread so far?

I'm out of town right now, but expect to be quarantining at home this coming week, so hopefully I can finally go and update that thread. Once I am back at the shop, I can start tuning it and testing it out on the real roads. Just got in a basic test run in the parking lot before I left town. But, quick summary is: I made things way more complicated than they needed to be. It is really pretty straightforward once you wrap your head around it. And Russell (whipplem104) is incredibly responsive and helpful.
