This incredible example of a one year only 280 SE in its original color of Horizon Blue on Tan interior.

Original owners manuals, punched service logs, fully functioning vehicle with nothing missing on the car. This car has fully functioning AC, working sunroof, working lights and the original spare tire still in the trunk.

With zero signs of rust and a clean underbody, this 280 SE is possibly one of the cleanest examples on the market. No signs of overheating, smooth transmission, excellent recent maintenance history with major services done.

This car came optioned with and still has its original Becker radio functioning perfectly. All seat belts retract and work excellently with no signs of major wear or tear.

Indeed, a 1972 Mercedes-Benz 280SE model year car was, by definition, a "one year only 280SE", .... 1972!

unless he forgot to mention that it's a 4.5, that indeed was only built in 1972 (but sold in both 72 and 73 and you overlook the 71 model 280se 3.5 because the badge isn't quite the same).

Sure enough...

If the plural is taken as definitive, then yes it probably is a 4.5.
The M130 has a camshaft oil tube (singular) also.
