1986 190D 2.5 automatic for sale Chicago area

The good:
Purchased in Oct 2019 from the son of the original owner (my neighbor). Very well maintained mostly by MB dealers. Have all maintenance records from day 1 along with the window sticker and all documentation and keys, plus completely intact first aid kit. All original, no modifications, this is likely the most original 'time warp' car that you will find.

Only 109,xxx miles

Overall exceptional condition, never hit, all original paint (Diamond Blue). Interior upholstery like new, driver's seat bottom professionally rebuilt.

I have replaced all the fluids, plus serpentine belt / tensioner, water pump and vacuum pump. Tires also replaced.

In the last approx 15k miles: new starter, all 4 rotors / pads, front and rear flex joints and center support bearing, tie rods.

Starts / runs / drives very well. Driven conservatively, I get consistent 45mpg. All 4 window regulators work, vacuum door / trunk locks work. Original Becker radio works.

The not so good:
Crack in windshield Mostly vertical in the center of the windshield, out of the driver's view, somewhat obscured by the rear view mirror.

Slight rust in 3 jacking points. I have scraped and painted / sealed the areas but have not welded the approx 1/2 inch gaps between the jacking point and the surrounding metal. Rust affects only the surrounding metal, jacking points are structurally sound and support the weight of the car.

Emergency brake does not work

Dash has several cracks.

Selling only because I have too many cars and I lost my storage.

$2900.
