1980sd body - help me keep it out of the crusher!

I have a 1980sd without an engine that I’d like to save from the crusher. The replaceable parts of the interior are trashed (seats, carpets), but the body, head liner, and trim are in great shape! Chrome double bumpers are beautiful! With some paint and seats, this car could be brought back to its original glory! (Note: A guy who restores vintage Mercedes looked at it and confirmed that it doesn't need paint - with some minimal effort, he brought a shine back to a small area he played with.)

Located in Marietta, GA and needs to find a home ASAP.

I have many more pics I can send you...

Thanks! I've got someone looking at the car now and should hear back tomorrow. If he decides to take it, I'll let him know that you have an engine.

The guy looking at it spent about 5 minutes cleaning up a section of the paint (he restores them) and it's amazing how good it looks!

Diesel-benz84 & garyd75,
Are either of you willing to part out your W116's?
If so, is there any chance there's a good brown dash in either car?
Or good front seat upholstery?

Hi Scrappy!

If I can't find someone to take the full car, I will be parting it out before I scrap it. The seats are not in good shape, but I think the dash may be good. The car isn't here at my house and unfortunately I didn't get any good pics of just the dash. If I can't find someone to take the car, I'll get some dash pics and will post them here to see if you want it. I'll keep you posted.
