Cleaning out my diesel herd. Location Nashville , TN , just west of it off I-40 exit 192.

I have some nice ones and projects that need good homes.

1982 240D W123-- blue . All manual transmission , windows , sunroof with Engine and transmission . Needs engine swap as the engine blew. I have the engine just haven't gotten to this project. $1000 obo

1997 E300D W210 -- Needs front bumper and some tlc but driveable. Cold AC . Good driver. All electric $1000 obo

1975 300D W115 - Good driver. 60K original miles and new rebuilt engine. New shocks. New tires. This drives great. The fuel shutoff valve is bad. That is main issue. New glow plugs and relay and starts right up. $7500 obo . I'm not sure what these are going for now but I'll give someone a good deal at least . But I'll keep it before i let it go for a low ball price.

The manual 240 D is really nice inside. Has one ding in body. May never be a show car but will be a fin daily driver for someone. I bought it as a project for 500.00 a few years back. The person had new r12 ac system and then the engine blew. I love the color and the manual sunroof and windows and heat/ac.

I just can't drive 5 cars. I wish i could.

The 1975 300D is all electric windows. It is pretty nice and looks good. I have a new hood ornament for it. I bought it with a blown engine from original owner in Louisiana. I got an engine from carpart.com shipped from the exact car and dropped it in. Turns out the engine was a rebuild and it works perfect. I update the glow plugs and put a relay from a later model 617 so it's got good glow plugs and starts right up in the cold.

I also have a 1976 240D W115 which needs more work and paint and is all manual. I am planning on keeping that one as my W115. But i'm open to selling it too depending on offer.

It is laudable that someone finally posts multiple pictures of what they are selling.

I like the W115, could be interested but your ask is way above my bid, so I won't offend you with any offers, unless you cannot find anyone to take it. Does the AC work? What about the rust?

Please feel free to post the manual W115 pictures too. I was looking for 76 300D that needed paint, there was one in here for 1500 with cold AC, but the owner stopped responding long ago. The reason is that I want to do a cheap paint job in the exact color of my dreams. Just to live the dream for a bit and pass it on.

Does the 240 come with the replacement engine?

Yes to replacement engine and tranny. Upping price for both to 1500 though

if I sell that thing at all. If only I could get time to do the engine swap.

I took the ac compressors out of both 115. In an annoying place amd they are bolt on and IMO not worth the hassle of maintaining them. I do have the compressors around though.

My teenage son is looking for a manual diesel, but says he doesn't have time for an engine swap right now.

@shadetreemechan the 240d w115 is a good candidate. I’d let that go for 2500 obo. I got it from original owner. It’s German edition. Lots of new parts on it. Send me your number and I’ll call you if you are interested. It is a car that will appreciate with some tlc.

You would sell your 115 manual?

Well it says I am open to selling it but would rather sell the more expensive W115 . I would sell it. Especially if i keep my W123 Manual and nice W115. If i have an 85SD , an 82 300D , and a 75 300D , I 'd say thats a collection i can maintain. They all fit in the garage at least.

He can buy the 240D W115 but it comes with a 1997 300D

My friend got the 1997 for 500. Only the nice silver 1975 300D left for sale. I’m not going to give it away but I’ll consider offers. 5000 maybe ? Worst case it sits in the garage amd rarely gets driven.

I finally realized I can only enjoy one Benz to tinker with and not 4 and that one is the 85 SD.
