FS:2 for 1: 1999 E300 and 1987 300D
 

Im selling both my diesels.
99'E300 is in well used condition(rough) condition but it does run and drive. It is inspected thru 3/22.

The good: Engine is strong, tires have life left, lights and windows/sunroom work. Frankly, the old girl has been a treat to drive and will be with some work done.

The bad: AC compressor failed and there is a persistent oil leak from the pan. The body has rust pretty much everywhere. This could be a project or parts car.
99' E300, Black ext/tan interior 273K asking $1100.

The extra car, not a condition of sale, is a 1987 300D that I've used as a parts car. Still has a complete engine and interior not in good shape (been in a barn), wheels. This would need to be towed buyer's responsibility to tow it away.

I'll give it some time before I call the Salvation Army to donate both. Feel free to ask any questions.

Oil leak from pan... will that require more than Oil pan gasket to fix? How is hte interior? Do all power seats still work?

Wallbenz, Not really sure on the oi leak-indy says it coming from that area. I have to get under there to look. Assuming the worst the pan would probably have to be dropped to make any repairs. Interior is in fair shape for a 23 yr car but not the driver's seat-Mbtex is worn thru on the door side of the seat back-and the rear bench has a rip in it. Yes, the seats work except head rests-not sure it's the switch on the door or the motor? What are you looking for specifically? (I would not consider the interior mint)

Do you think it could make a 12 hour drive? I’d think a spring perch might could let loose any moment, but how much oil does it leak?

I would not in good conscience suggest it. Probably better to have it shipped. I did have the driver's side SP welded/repaired about 5 years ago. I don't drive it regularly since I have a company car for daily use, but it would go thru +/-1.5 quarts per 5000 miles and has since owning it. It does leave an oil patch when left to sit-silver dollar shell sized. Not scientific, but best I can describe.
