86 300SDL for sale, a great parts car. - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Now that the kids are away at school I will be getting rid of the 86 300SDL. The car is a good car not a great car. I would recommend it as a parts car. Its drivable but does need work.
Below I will list the condition of the car.
I can "realize" about $1000 on my taxes by donating it here in Dallas. But if someone wants it you can have it for the $1000.

Its a 1986 300SDL.
265,000, miles.
White with gray interiors.
Tires need replacing
Brakes are fine.
rims good but need paint
body paint, a little oxidised.

everything works except the sunroof, motor blowing a fuse
headlight doors cracked, AC weak, I think its the temp sensor in the evaporator, Also high pressure hose needs replacing, Front end needs a repuild, injection pump has 265,000 on it and could use a rebuild but runs fine. #1 cylinder getting low in compression, you can tell at idle but runs fine All the others are great, tranny also has 265,000 and could use a rebuild, but runs fine, front driver seat worn. front pax seat has a tear in it. rear seats are fine. Wood trim is fine, center consol shows some cracks. center consol 5 years old looks great, dash cracked, instruments all work great, temp sensor 1/4 of backing gone, radio after market, speakers fine, carpets show wear. door panels have cracks at top near window, glass all good, tinted. all door mechanics work. all rear lights fine. antenae fine. rear suspension fine but has not been rebuilt since I got the car at 153,000 miles. rear axel fine. Body work fine, no rust, bumper covers paint fadding but no damage.

As I have said I will not part out the car, can't, the neighborhood does not allow it. And I would like it gone. So If anyone is interested let me know. I will take pics of the majority of it tomorrow so if you want to see it.
