How to remove AMG duck tail from W124 trunk lid?

Hi all,

I picked up a W124 trunk lid with an AMG duck tail mounted. Problem is, I'm having an awful time trying to remove the silly thing without damaging it. Anyone BT, DT, and have some tips? I don't mind if the trunk lid is damaged in the process, but I *really* don't want to mess up the duck tail!! I don't know what kind of adhesive was used but it seems like concrete. What kind of thin, flexible tool would slide underneath and cut through the glue? I've tried assorted sharp knives, putty knives, etc with basically no luck. I can get through a little on the outer edges but not far enough in to detach it. I can't pry too hard or the plastic starts to deform and I already caused a tiny crack - don't want to repeat that, d'oh...

Help!!
