FS: 16V ITBs !!!

Okay boys...here's your chance!

I'm considering selling my custom-made ITBs for a 190E 16V!

Quick background: My engine project started as a naturally aspirated project with ITBs and EFI, but, halfway through I went the turbo route instead. Now, I've decided that the gain of ITBs in a turbo application isn't worth the tuning difficulties they present with a turbo.

So, they're for sale! If nobody buys them, I'm simply going to butcher them and convert to a single throttle body. But doing that pains me because of all of the engineering I've put into these, and they could be put to good use in someone's N/A 16V screamer.

I worked with Jenvey ( http://www.jenvey.co.uk) as I was developing these and took into careful consideration things like intake runner length and diameter, trumpet shape, butterfly placement, etc. and the result is a well-designed system that works. The only thing I would do at this point is add idle screws to fine tune idle balance.

These are perfect for someone looking to add power to a 16V. Buy these ITBs, an EFI system, and perhaps cams, and you will easily break the 200HP mark. Nevermind the fact that they sound so mean at WOT. Words and sound clips can't even describe...

The engineering is already done. These will bolt straight on. They are even compatible with the stock throttle cable. It snaps right in. The injector ports have been drilled to accept standard Honda/Acura injectors.

Unfortunately, I don't have any dyno numbers, but they wouldn't mean much anyway because my engine is far from stock (low-compression pistons, etc.). But I can tell you that even with 8.5:1 compression ratio, it has a surprising amount of low-end power. Once you get above 3.5k the engine just takes off and screams.

Check of this video of engine running with the ITBs:
SUPER SWEET ITB VIDEO

They are powdercoated red, so the look as good as the perform and sound. The air box, as you can see, is polished and is included. In addition, all the intake runners are connected to a common air plenum that can be connected to the brake booster and idle valve.

PM me with offers.

damn those are beautiful dan.

The car as always looks better everytime I see pics of it.

Then engine compartment looks great!

Good job. I know how much work you put into the car, and those ITB's are just one of the many things I know you put your heart and soul into.

They look killer and sound on the video looks sweet too!

Very nice work! This would be a great mod for a high compression 16V.

Dan .... I understand you problems with ITBs. I went through a significant learning curve with a single throttle body with a digital engine management system.

Rather than abandon your design, try installing a Ford Mustang 5.0 throttle body on the front of the plenum. That should be reasonably easy, utilize you beautiful manifold and would be more efficient than the stock manifold.
