W124 E320 Throttle Body Upgrades?

I've been having problems with my W124 E320 Coupe. My mechanic has diagnosed the throttle body as the fault.

Always keen to attempt to gain more power from the engine, can someone please tell me if there are any upgrades which can be applied to the throttle body? Is and E36 AMG throttle body any different, and would it fit? Did any tuners offer such a modification?
