Smile SilverState Pics

Here's some pictures of our 360TE AMG entered in the Silver State Gold Rush Challenge.

Our target speed was to average 115 MPH.
Our TECH speed was 140 MPH.
Our radar-trap speed was 138 MPH.

Unfortunately, we dropped our stopwatch, so we ended up 16-seconds too fast.

Check out one of the highways.

Theoretical top speed with 3.07 gearing is 147 MPH with our HP & torque. Don't believe it. . .

That stretch of highway sure looks like Mojave desert between L.A. and Vegas that I once drove through.........100+ mph in a rental Taurus.

Hey neil, nice pics. You have a C36 AMG engine in your W124?

Thumbs up

That is one real nice wagon. But why didn't you do all these upgrades to a W124 Sedan instead of a wagon? You would have saved a lot of weight.

Because the wagon is actually balanced better front to rear.

Also, a wagon is a better "sleeper" and is easier to upgrade to 500E suspension specs. . .

That wagon is very cool. I really like it alot! I have a W202 modded through the roof but I always wanted to do a wagon. Maybe some day I'll get an AMG C32 Estate imported into the states.

I'd love to have the power of the C32 AMG wagon, but it's so tiny in the back.

I hope someday I can import either the E55 AMG wagon, or find a Brabus V12 wagon . . .

Thanks for the kind words.
